In the year 2000, after the opening for participation of private capital in the areas of transmission, Alusa Holding, through Alupar Investimento, took another decisive step toward growth, beginning to work in the market as partner and participant in Brazilian companies and one Chilean company, in the installation, operation and maintenance of power transmission systems, through concessions granted by Aneel (National Electric Power Agency), and by Cedec (Load Economic Dispatch Center), from Chile.
Its work covers integration services for designs, civil construction, electromechanical assembly with supply of equipment and materials, high and extra voltage transmission lines.

Managed by Alupar Investimento, a company from Alusa Holding, these concessions currently total 4,715 kilometers of high and extra voltage lines.

The power transmission companies, in which Alupar has right of purchase and control, are ETEP, ENTE, ERTE, EATE, ECTE, STC, Lumitrans, STN, Transleste, Transudeste, Transirapé, ETES and Transchile. The latter is located in Chile and the others in Brazil.
