Five decades of much power.
One of the biggest Brazilian groups in the segments of engineering, construction, maintenance and operation of power transmission and generation systems, Alusa Engenharia, started its operations in 1960.
In 1988, with the purchase of Cavan, Alusa started its industrial operations through the production of prefabricated concrete products.
Maintaining a trajectory governed by continuous and safe growth, Alusa began to diversify its operations. From 1994 to 2008, through BIG TV, it had an outstanding work in the areas of telephony, broadband internet and cable TV.
At the end of the 90s, the opening for private capital participation in the areas of power transmission and generation emerged as a new and promising opportunity. In a short time, Alusa became the biggest private company in the transmission segment. In 2005, it also began to operate in power generation, assuming a relevant role in this segment of the Brazilian economy.
The company’s natural growth brought along with it the need to perfect the focus on its activities. Alusa Holding was thus created in 2007, to house Alusa Engenharia (with operation in the Power, Civil Construction, Oil & Gas segments) and a new company, Alupar Investimento (focused on power transmission and generation concessions).
In the course of these five decades, Alusa Holding has been maintaining a trajectory governed by continuous and consistent growth, diversification of its operations, entrepreneurship, professionalism, modernity, and respect for the environment and, above all, valuing of its human resources.
